Edgar A. Kittleson, 74 Civil Engineer Lakeland - Ed Kittleson was born in Tampa, FL on April 5, 1937 and passed away November 28, 2011 at Hospice House due to Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). Ed grew up in Jacksonville and attended the University of Florida. He was a member of the ATO fraternity and graduated in 1959 with a bachelor degree in Building Construction. In 1962, Ed also earned a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. Following graduation, he accepted a position with Wellman-Lord Engineering in Lakeland. After retirement from Jacob""s Engineering Group, Inc. Ed developed an interest in woodturning and became a member of The WoodTurners of Polk County. Throughout his life, Ed enjoyed fishing, the latest and greatest in electronics, refinishing furniture and grilling a great steak. Ed is survived by his wife of 51 years, Claudia, his daughters, Julie L. Kittleson of Lakeland, FL and Janine A. Kittleson of Scotts Valley, CA. He is also survived by his brother, Henry Kittleson and wife Barbara. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 from 4-6 PM at Heath Funeral Chapel in the Tribute Center.
