Dr. Vincent Paul Lucido

Dr. Vincent Paul Lucido 86 went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2024. He is predeceased by his parents, Jerome, and Mary Lucido; first wife, Linda; brothers, Charlie, and Jerry; sister, Annie. He is survived by his wife, Diana; sons, Steven, Mark (Denise), David (Jessica), Matthew, Adam; daughter, Gina; 12 Grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Brooklyn NY in 1937. Graduated from the Chiropractic Institute of New York in 1962 and was drafted into the Army before starting his chiropractic career. He served his military time in Omaha Nebraska because the criminal division needed a typist, and he was the only recruit who could type.

After the Army he started his chiropractic practice in 1966 in Lakeland. He served as the President of the Florida Chiropractic Association in 1974, President of the American Chiropractic Association in 1989, President of the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research for many years, Director of National Chiropractic Mutual Insurance Company, and Editor of DC Tracts Clinical Journal for Chiropractic Physicians. He was an active member of Heritage Baptist Church and served as a prior Deacon there.

During his illustrious career, Dr. Lucido was a physician in the true sense, he was a teacher, and lectured throughout the country on health, nutrition, and wellness. He was a true friend to many in his profession and the void he leaves will be huge. By his caring and loving approach to every individual, he provided solace. His integrity, honesty, and commitment were his trademarks that guided his life.

He and his wife Diana were blessed to have hiked all over the world including Italy and most of the National Parks. He loved his family vacations including a cruise to Italy, Christmas in Tennessee, and the beach. He loved Jesus first, his family and his wonderful patients.

Services will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 1pm at Heritage Baptist Church, 4202 Pipkin Creek Road, Lakeland FL. 33811.
