Douglas Nelson Andree, Sr

Douglas Nelson Andree Sr of Lakeland, FL passed away on Saturday November 26, 2022. He was 77 years old. Doug was born in Canonsburg, PA in 1945. He graduated from Canon-MacMillan High School in 1961. He also earned a bachelor's degree from Bethel University in Electrical Engineering. He spent 60 years in the electrical and technological fields and worked up until a few months before his passing. Doug was an avid gardener and loved the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by 3 sons: James Andree (and his wife Jill) of Winter Haven FL, Douglas Andree Jr (and his wife Paula) of Chambersburg PA and Dean Andree of Lakeland FL. He had 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years Joan Marie Andree, son Thomas Andree and his grandchildren Ryan Andree and Ashley Andree, and parents Mary Ellen and Russell Stephen Andree. He was also preceded in death by 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Services will be held at Heath Funeral Chapel in Lakeland FL on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Viewing will be held from 10 am to 11 am, services immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project.
