Dorothy E. Steinbach

Dorothy E. Steinbach Lakeland " Dorothy E. Steinbach, 85, passed away quietly at the Highlands Lake Center on Saturday, September 10, 2016. She was born in St. Louis, MO. Dorothy grew up in the Missouri Ozarks during the Great Depression on a small farm her family had purchased to survive the Depression. Later, after moving back to St. Louis, she graduated from Hadley Technical High School. She was married three times in her lifetime, to Ivan L. Steinbach, William M. Leaders, and Alexander R. Jablonski. During her life, she was active in the business community and was a member of the stamp club, the dance club, and was the founding member of many writing groups. She was also the author of a self-published book titled ""Without Guilt"" that was carried by Books-a-Million and sold to veterinarians around the nation. In recent years, Dorothy enjoyed writing short stories for the Ozark Mountaineer and running several businesses she owned including: Manpower, The Stork Stop, and Gowns Etc. Dorothy is survived by her three sons, Barry F. Jablonski, Wayne M. Leaders, and Carl A. Leaders; her grandchildren Zachary, Cassondra, and Cody; and her great-grandchildren Wesley, Brantley, and Maddelyn. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles M. Lint and Marquerite Ladodge, her brother Charles Lint, and her three husbands.
