Donald Joseph Farrell Crane Operator Lakeland- Mr. Donald Joseph Farrell died June 14, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of respiratory failure. He was born August 16, 1926 in Carbondale, Pa. He worked at American Cyanamid in Brewster, Fl. for 30 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lakeland and he also worked there after his retirement. Mr. Farrell served in the United States Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Dayton and the U.S.S. Missouri. He was a member of the American Legion Post #4 and also a member of the Catholic War Veterans. He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Eleanor D. Farrell. Survivors include his daughter, Kim (Benny) Luke, Lakeland, sons, Joseph Phillip (Sherri) Farrell, Ga., Jeffrey Mark (Pam) Farrell, Lakeland, George Douglas Davis, Auburndale, 5 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren and sister, Delphine Kretchik, Carbondale. Pa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church and the family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2590 Havendale Blvd. N.W., Winter Haven, Fl. 33881.
