He used his education to great advantage in his career as a management consultant with Deloitte, Haskins and Sells in New York City. He was fortunate to travel the world for the job he loved, before retiring as a Partner in 1986. Donald nurtured many interests throughout his life and gave much of his resources, both physical and financial to them. He loved The Lord, his family, his church, his community and his country. He was an active member of The First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland and he volunteered for several years fundraising for Talbot House Ministries also in Lakeland. A keen interest in history led Donald to trace his heritage back to his English roots beginning with several Mayflower ancestors and culminating in membership in the Baronial Order of the Magna Carta, and the Military Order of the Crusades. He was pleased to be a member of the Edward Fuller Colony, Society of the Mayflower Descendants, the Sons of the American Revolution, (Past President), the Florida Chapter of the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America (Past Governor), and was also a member of the Maine Chapter. He was stubborn and persistent and always wanted to be the very best he could be, which is about as good as it gets in this life. The family would like to thank Donald\'s doctors throughout his journey, the kind and caring staff at Clare Bridge Place, and the team of caregivers from Good Shepherd Hospice.
