DIANE WALTON LAKELAND - Our lovely mother and wife Diane Amundsen Walton peacefully passed away with all of us by her side Dec 22, 2011, due to complications from pneumonia. She was born July 10, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois. Diane received a Bachelor of Business Administration at University of Illinois. She had her degree and was smart as a whip but chose to be a full time mother and willingly gave her life to her children. She also felt drawn to give of her time and volunteered for organizations such as Candy Stripers, Meals on Wheels, Welcome Wagon, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. Diane was never without a good book to read and sat down at the piano whenever the spirit moved her.
