We would like to share the passing of Delories Maxine Bain/Thornton, 94, of Lakeland FL, on Dec 12, 2020, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 26, 1926 to Charles Andrew Bain and Alma Bain/Osteen in Lakeland FL and graduated from Lakeland High School. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and during her life worked at Woolco, Barnett Bank, and Lake Point Village. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. Delories was married to Ray Thornton and they had two children Glenn and Gail Thornton/Blaeser and is survived by her son, daughter, 2 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Delories leaves behind a large number of lives she enriched by her genuinely nurturing nature and was preceded in death by her husband Ray (Rays Pool Service), numerous friends and family, and her beloved dog Precious. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday 18 Dec 2020 at 11am at Oak Hill Burial Park. For those unable to attend, Heath Funeral Chapel will be live streaming the funeral via Heath’s website at https://www.heathfuneralchapel.com/obituaries.
