David Wayne Foster

David Wayne Foster Born August 20, 1940 Ann Arbor Michigan, died April 7, 2016 Lakeland, Florida. Dave was son to Clair Darwin Foster and Mary Catherine Mager. He was brother to Emerson Clair Foster and Ronald Lloyd Foster. He was husband for 33 years to Bessie Lee Robinson Foster. He was father to Catherine Louise Foster Jones (Gary Allen Jones) and step-father to Joseph Daniel Amiel, Jr (Cindy Rosas Amiel). He was grandfather to Deanna Jeanette Jones, William Lee Jones, Wendy Anne Jones, Megan Elizabeth Pardue(Seth Pardue), Julia Leigh Amiel. Dave had a gift for music. At 13, he played the lead role in an opera at the University of Michigan. At 19, he was a cellist for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. David was a member of the Hillsborough Masonic Lodge and a DeMolay Advisor. He was the founding member of Cork Volunteer Fire Department. The original fire department was on his property. He spent 30 years as a life insurance agent. He started his own group life insurance agency. At 49, he survived Guillain Barre Syndrome an extremely rare disease which the immune system attacks the nerves. For the last 3 years he has been a volunteer reading tutor for AmeriCorps Corporation for National and Community Service. He tutored at Griffin Elementary, Boswell Elementary, and Kathleen Elementary. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Mt. Enon Primitive Baptist Church, N. Frontage Rd.
