David "Taka" W Rogers

David W. Rogers “Taka”, 57 Lakeland – David W. Rogers died unexpectedly on December 22, 2017. He was born in Marietta, Georgia to parents Kay and John Rogers. He studied at North Georgia. David married his wife Pam Rogers and resided in Lakeland. He worked for the City of Lakeland for 30 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, recoil therapy, and being a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism. He is survived by his wife, Pam Rogers; his children, Jeffrey, Delana, Heather, and Kada; his parents, Kay and John Rogers; his sister, Donna Kay Brown (Jim); and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws. A service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00pm with a reception immediately following at the church.
