David R. Caldwell, 74 Lakeland: David R. Caldwell, 74, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland, FL due to complications from sepsis. Born June 10, 1939 in Bradenton, FL, David was a lifelong Florida resident. A 1957 graduate of Manatee County High School, David served in the U.S. Navy, and careered in industrial refrigeration with Fruit Growers Express Company, Crowley Maritime Corporation, and Publix Supermarkets. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Agnes Caldwell of Palmetto, FL and brother Marvin Caldwell of Ludowici, GA. Survived by his wife, Charlene Williams Caldwell, son, Scott Caldwell, brother William J. ""Billy"" Caldwell (Candy), and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2 at Heath Funeral Chapel from 5-7 P.M. and graveside service on Wednesday, July 3, at Fortner Cemetery, Parrish, FL at 10:00 A.M.
