Daniel Rios Jr. was born in the city of Bayamon, Puerto Rico, on December 21, 1952. He passed away peacefully, on September 13, 2022. He was 69 years of age. A longtime resident of Lakeland, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Rios Sr., Ana A. Rios (Lakeland), and brother Raymond “Tito” (New York).
Daniel is survived by his wife of 46 years, Andrea Rios, (Lakeland) sons; Kevin Daniel Rios, Christopher Matthew Rios (Both of Lakeland), Granddaughter, Angelique Nicole (Rios) O’Brien, Grandson, Armon Daniel Rios, Great grandchildren, Aurora, Orion, Ember and Cedar (Washington), Sisters; Rafael Torres, Maria Marchand (Both from Florida), Daisy Pernal, Long Island, Brother-In-Laws, Sister-In-Laws, Nephews, Nieces & Cousins as well share in our loss.
Daniel was a surveyor in the field of Civil Engineering for many years. His education and experience put him at the top of his field and was something he was very proud of. Outside of this, his one relaxing hobby was working on various automobiles through the years. His love and passion for this was clearly known by anyone who knew him.
As I his son, reflect on his death, though unexpected, know that it was peaceful, which gives us all comfort. To know my father was to truly love him, as there was always some laugh to be shared or quick-witted remark that sometimes seemed overboard but would always get a chuckle or laugh from someone. He was always honest and pure at heart. He was genuine in his intentions and actions. He was not necessarily the first to say, “I love you”, but instead showed you by his actions. He never like the spotlight and hated being the center of attention. If anything, he tried his best to focus in on his family, as that truly was his legacy. He was very happy to share his profession with his second born, Christopher and never once complained about what cards life ever dealt him. I can proudly say in my eyes, he was always an example of the man my brother and I have strived to be. He will surely be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
