Christine S. Starling Lakeland – Chris Starling passed away at her home on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born to G.P. and Deane Stringer on July 7, 1951 in Houma, Louisiana. She moved to Winter Haven from Mississippi in 1969 and to Lakeland in 1987, when she and Bruce married. She is preceded by her parents and brother Milton. Chris is survived by her husband Bruce Starling of Lakeland, daughter, Vickie (Dala) Fulford of Indian Rocks, son, Jack Fulford of Winter Haven, step daughters, Meghan Starling of Lakeland, April (Gene) Bloom of Portage, PA, granddaughter Demi Fulford of Winter Haven, brother, Mike (Mary) Stringer of Eagle Lake and many nieces and nephews who loved her. A viewing will be at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801 on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 10 am at Heath Funeral Chapel with interment at Auburndale Memorial Park. A reception will follow the interment at Carters Baptist Church in Lakeland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to First Baptist Church of Plant City, 3309 James L.
