Charles Wilmer Scott, 83 Area Manager " Phosphate Lakeland " Charles Wilmer Scott finished his earthly race and entered heavens gates as a result of cancer on April 19, 2012. He was born March 23, 1929 in Telfair County, GA. He was the last survivor of eight sons born to John P. and Bertha Irene Scott. He attended public schools in Telfair County where he lived until he moved to Florida in 1950. He retired from a career in the Phosphate Industry that spanned over 40 years. He worked in many phases of the industry, one of which was Area Manager for USX Corporation. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior as a young boy of 8 years old. He was currently a member of Trinity Life Church of God in Lakeland. He was a very family oriented man and he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched. He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Skinner Scott, one son, F, Todd Cranor-Scott and wife, Lynn of Lakeland, two grandsons, Joshua Todd Cranor and wife, Brittany, and Jeremy Scott Cranor and wife, Mona"" of Lakeland, one step-granddaughter, Jessica Faith French and husband, Derek, one step grandson, Daniel Shane Bilodeau all of Lakeland, one great granddaughter, Madison Grace Cranor, and one great grandson, Jake Timothy Cranor, one step great grandson, Kyle Nicholas French of Lakeland, two sisters-in-law, Barbara Scott of McRae, GA and Irene Scott of Bluffton, SC, two brother-in-laws, Robert E. Skinner, Lakeland, and Doyle M. Skinner and wife, Sharon of Greeneville, TN, and many nieces and nephews.
