Charles Mitchell Lambert

Charles Mitchell Lambert Charles Mitchell Lambert, 81, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on February 24, 2016. Mitch was born on July 16, 1934, to William Landon Lambert and Ella (Mitchell) Lambert. He graduated from Central City High School in Illinois and served in the Army at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Afterwards, Mitch married Betty (Meek) Lambert in 1955, and fathered three boys. He worked for 15 years with Illinois Central Railroad, and then worked for 28 years in Property Management. In 1995, Mitch moved to Lakeland, Florida, where he later retired. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Mitch is survived by his two sons, Kirk Douglas Lambert, Charles (Chuck) Mitchell Lambert, Jr.; siblings Merle Reeves, Roy H. Lambert, and Bobie J. Lambert. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1839 Gibsonia-Galloway Road, Lakeland, Florida 33810, or to the charity of your choice.
