Charleen Minelli Crane

Charleen Florence Minelli Crane, age 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. She was born August 21, 1942, in Tower-Soudan, Minnesota. She grew up in Athens, Ohio, and attended Ohio University. She graduated in 1954 with her Bachelor of Science degree. Charleen married her college sweetheart, Gerald Crane (Jerry), in 1965 and was married 46 years until Jerry passed in 2010. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church since 1976 and served in many ways. Charleen was also a member of PEO, Chapter CP, the Heritage Antique Club, the Engineers Wives of Polk County, and Flow Blue International Collectors Club, and served as a director of Needlework Guild. She is survived by her daughters, Shelley (Tom) Hall and Alison (John) Anderson, step- granddaughter, Alyssa Elaskari, and grandson, Brian Hall. At Charleen’s request no funeral service will be held. A private family service will be at the Memorial Garden of First Presbyterian Church in Lakeland. In her memory, she had requested that friends send donations to First Presbyterian Church, 175 Lake Hollingsworth Dr, Lakeland, FL 33801, or a philanthropy of their choice.
