Cathryn Lynn Cruz

Cathryn Lynn Cruz, 62 Lakeland- Cathryn Lynn Cruz, 62, passed away on February 27, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on July 20, 1951. She was a veteran of the United States Navy, and continued to support her country as a civilian, working at various army installations until retiring in 2004. Cathy is survived by her mother Nellie King, sisters JoAnn Slagle and Susan Cawley, daughter Christie Morrison (Christopher), son James Cruz, and grandsons Ryan and Isaac. A celebration of Cathy\'s life will be held on Wednesday, March 5, at 2 PM at First United Methodist Church Chapel, located at 72 Lake Morton Drive in Lakeland. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her honor can be made to SPCA Florida, 5850 S. Brannen Road, Lakeland, Fl. 33813.
