LAKELAND " Catheryn M. Henley, 88 of Lakeland died May 20, 2014 at the Lakeland Good Shepherd Hospice House due to complications of Alzheimer""s. Catheryn (Kay) was born September 4, 1925 in Oakboro, North Carolina. She and her husband, Richard of 66 years (deceased in 2011) lived in Muskegon, Michigan where she worked as a professional model and in retail sales. They moved to Florida in 1960 and to Winter Haven in 1964. While in Winter Haven, she owned and operated her retail business, Feather Your Nest, where she showcased her creative talent as well as her talent for finding unique home accessories purchased at market. Catheryn retired from her business and she and her husband shared time between their house in Winter Haven and their mountain house in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. They moved to Lakeland in 1995. She is a member of United Methodist Temple. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Suzanne Harrell and her husband, Paul of Lakeland, grandson Chris Harrell and his wife, Natalie of Tampa, and two great grandsons, Jacob and Aiden. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard (Dick) Henley, her 6 sisters and 1 brother A memorial service will be held at a later date.
