Carolyn Graham Kelly was born on February 28, 1935 in Spruce Pine, Alabama to Dallas and Bernice Graham. She passed away in Lakeland, Florida on December 25, 2021 at her home. She was surrounded and cared for by many of her friends. Carolyn Kelly was an only child. When she was fairly young her father who was a logger was killed in a tractor accident. Soon after she and her mother moved to Dunnellon, Florida. They moved to Lakeland in 1949 when Carolyn was in the 9th grade. She rode the bus to school. She graduated from Lakeland High School in 1953 and was in the first class to graduate from the new school on Hollingsworth Road. After graduation Carolyn began working at Peoples Bank in the loan department. In the mid-1970's she married Bill Myrick owner of Myrick's Mens Wear located on Kentucky Avenue and began working as a buyer. Later Bill passed away and she became the owner until an adjacent store caught on fire and all of her inventory was smoke damaged. She considered her options, closed the store and retired. For a short time after she retired she moved to St. Petersburg Beach and then moved back to Lakeland where she lived until her death. After returning to Lakeland from St. Petersburg Beach she married Scott Kelly who preceded her in death by several years
