Carmen Milagros Vellon Pastrana

Semblanza de Carmen M. Vellón Pastrana Nació el 26 de marzo de 1958 en la ciudad de Paterson, NJ. Sus padres fueron (ya fallecidos) Rafael Vellón Rodriguez y Vilma Pastrana Espinosa. Carmen fue la primera de tres hermanas y un hermano; María del Carmen, Luz Eneida y José Luis. Además de varios hermanos y hermanas por parte de padre. Cuando tenía cerca de los dos años de edad sus padres regresan a Puerto Rico con ella y su hermana María al barrio de Punta Santiago en Humacao, Puerto Rico. Allí cursó sus grados primarios y secundarios. Su grado superior y universitario lo cursó en la ciudad de Humacao. Siendo egresada de la Universidad de Puerto Rico con un bachillerato en Química Industrial se integra al campo laboral como química licenciada en Denver Pharmaceutical, donde se mantuvo por cerca de 17 años. Es ahí donde conoce a su esposo Eduardo Castro con quien procreó a sus hijos Eduardo y Emanuel luego de tener a su primer hijo Edgar. Sus nietos son: Elijah y Ariana. En el 1996 se muda con su esposo e hijos para el estado de Arkansas. Allí trabajó en el laboratorio de la compañía de agua de la ciudad de Rogers. Es en dicha ciudad donde se integra a la Iglesia en Rogers, siendo una líder muy activa. Luego de 21 años se muda al estado de la Florida, siguiendo a sus nietos. Carmen fue una mujer muy talentosa. Algunas de sus habilidades y destrezas son: • Costura • Repostería • Confeccion de joyeria de fantasía • Cerámica • y otras Carmen fue una mujer virtuosa. Una vez que decide servirle al Señor no se apartó de El, siendo fiel hasta su último respiro. Su deseo siempre fue servir en todo lo que pudiera ser útil. Carmen pasó a morar con el Señor a quien le sirvió este 15 de diciembre de 2020 a la edad de 62 años en la ciudad de Lakeland, Florida. Que en paz descanse! Carmen was the first of three sisters and a brother: María del Carmen, Luz Eneida and José Luis. In addition to several brothers and sisters on the father's side. When she was about two years old, her parents returned to Puerto Rico with her and sister María to the Punta Santiago neighborhood in Humacao, Puerto Rico. There she attended elementary and middle school. She attended High school and the University in the Humacao city, receiving a bachelor’s degree in industrial chemistry. Being a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemistry, she joined the labor field as a licensed chemist at Denver Pharmaceutical, where she remained for about 17 years. It is there where she meets her husband Eduardo Castro with whom she procreated her children Eduardo and Emanuel after having her first son Edgar. Her grandchildren are Elijah and Ariana. In 1996 she moved with her husband and children to the state of Arkansas. There she worked in the laboratory of the city of Rogers water company. It is in this city where she joined the Church in Rogers, being a very active leader. After 21 years her moved to the state of Florida, following her grandchildren. Carmen was a very talented woman. Some of her abilities and skills are sewing, cake shop, manufacture of fancy jewelry, ceramics, and others. Carmen was a virtuous woman and a leader in her church. Once she decided to serve the Lord, she did not turn away from Him, being faithful until her last breath. Her desire was always to serve in every way she could be useful. Carmen came to reside with the Lord whom she served on December 15, 2020 at the age of 62 in the city of Lakeland, Florida. Rest in peace!
