CARL P. JENSEN JR., 88 LAKELAND - Carl P. Jensen Jr. of Lakeland passed away at his home from natural causes on Friday June 27, 2014. He was 88. He was born on Nov. 7 1925 in Sanborn, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl P. & Eria Jensen. Carl graduated from LaSalle High School, Niagara Falls in 1946. He was drafted out of high school in 1944 to serve in the US Army as a member of the 66th Division. He was honorably discharged from service in late 1944. After World War II his family moved to Dundee, Fl where they started Jensen Builders Supply. In 1954 he married Fran Lameraux and together they raised four children Peter, Kathy, Scott and Eric. In the early 1970's Carl went on to become a world class salesman until his retirement in 2000. He was a Life member of the American Legion and served as a FHP Auxillaryman for over 30 years. In retirement Carl loved to travel, do odd jobs for family, friends and was a trustee at his church, Gibsonia Baptist. Mostly he enjoyed playing golf especially with his boys. He is survived by son Rev. Carl P Jensen III (Diane) daughter, Kathy Clark (Lin), son Scott Jensen (Kim), son Eric Jensen (Lisa), 7 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren and brothers, Rev & Mrs. Doug Jensen Chattanooga, Mr. & Mrs. Austin Jensen, Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 1st starting at 10am with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the services at Heath Funeral Chapel in Lakeland. Interment will follow at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Service: 07/01/2014 Heath Funeral Chapel 328 S.
