Carl Buddy Fairchild

Carl Buddy Fairchild, 76, of Polk City, FL, and originally Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully with his son and daughter(-in-law) by his side on December 10, 2021. Bud was born on August 08, 1945. He graduated from Charleston High School in 1963, and from Transylvania College (now University) in 1967. A career in sales and management followed, starting with Xerox and leading to small businesses of his own. “Retirement” brought more sales experience as a realtor. He also passed his knowledge on to the next generation of small business owners, mentoring them through Central Florida SCORE. Bud was predeceased by his father, Virgil Fairchild; mother, Mary Richard; and sister, Wenonah Green. He is survived by Scott and Amy Fairchild, and grandchildren Marcus, Carl, and Trinity. Bud played hard through life, from racing cars and snow skiing to cruises throughout the world. He also treasured his First Baptist Church of Polk City family. In accordance with his long-held wishes, there will be a celebration of life service in South Charleston, WV, on February 26, 2022, and in Polk City, FL, on March 27, 2022. He will be dearly missed, but we rejoice in the reunion that he is having with family and friends. Please consider a donation to Cornerstone Hospice (FL) in his name.
