Betty Jane Harrison

LAKELAND - Betty Harrison joined her husband in Heaven on January 6, 2021. She was born in Greensboro, NC on November 28, 1932 to Hubert and Stella Cockman. Betty and one of her best friends moved to Fort Myers, FL where she met her husband, Huie Harrison, and they married on July 5, 1957. They were married 60 years and had four children. Betty was a current member of Ardella Baptist Church. She was a past member at First Baptist Church of Highland City and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School many years. She was also a Girl Scout Leader, member of a Home Makers Club, a Bowling League, PTA, Band Boosters, and the Buttons & Bows Square Dance Club. She loved her Lord and her family. She loved reading her Bible and listening to the Gaither’s. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers: Harold Cockman and Dale Cockman and one sister: Francis Saunders. She is survived by two brothers: David Cockman and Steve Cockman, three daughters: Beth Heilman, Susan Davis and Sharon Andrews, one son: Mark Harrison, and four grandchildren: Candy, Trisha, Brian and Amanda.
