Betty Howard Frei

Lakeland – Betty Frei passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the age of 99. Betty was a loving wife and mother of two children. She was born on April 24, 1921, in Port Edwards, Wisconsin to Stephen and Kittie Howard. She married Norbert R. Frei on April 5, 1941, and raised two sons, Richard, and David. She had a passion for gardening, sewing, cooking, and taking care of her family. Betty was preceded in death by her husband and two sons. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jason and Caitlin, her great grandchildren, Marisa, and Devin and her loving daughter-in-law and caretaker Debbie Frei. Memorial service will be held on December 30, 2020 at Heath Funeral Chapel at 11 am. Her remains will be placed with her husband Norbert R. Frei at Florida National Cemetery at a future date.
