Every so often in this glorious world we live in, when the sun, the moon, the stars, and the heavens are ever so perfectly aligned a unique and beautiful soul is born. That soul was Benjamin Scott Davis. He was born in Miami, Florida on November 25, 1986, and came home a day and a half later, on Thanksgiving Day. Ben was nothing less than a gift from God. God's perfect expression of love. This brilliant star fell from the sky when he passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021. Benjamin was 34 years old. Benjamin grew up on the water. Every weekend Ben and his father could be found fishing in the deep blue waters outside Biscayne Bay in their open fisherman boat in pursuit of dolphin or whatever pelagic they had run into. If the weather was poor, they would journey into the backwaters of Flamingo deep in the Everglades in their Carolina Skiff. He was at home on the water. His lifelong passion for all things aquatic included the time at age 10, when he jumped out of the boat and swam with a family of dolphins, giddy and unafraid. Benjamin auditioned and was accepted into Coral Reef Senior High School's Piano Academy Magnet. He was a talented pianist and gifted in Music Theory. He was the President of the Piano Performance Music Club and the Captain of the Coral Reef High School Golf Team. He was an assistant PGA teaching instructor with PGA Professional Phil Argianis at Palmetto Golf Course. Under Phil Argianis' guidance he co-hosted golf clinics for young golfers with disabilities, junior golf camps and individual instruction. Benjamin was then accepted into the University of Florida where he majored in Business Administration. Benjamin was a licensed Florida Realtor and a member of the National Association of Realtors. He was a former member of the Miami Association of Realtors for 6 years and then a member of the Lakeland Board of Realtors. He developed his love of real estate early in life when he visited his Tennessee licensed realtor grandmother, Donna M. Daye each summer. He would go with her on listings and showings. Ben was a handsome young man standing at 6' 4.5". He was easy going and had a magnanimous personality. He was kind and loving to strangers and would strike up conversations easily with strangers and many became his friends! He could fix just about anything and if he could not, he would learn. We were told by those closest to him that he had a childhood most envied. He was well-rounded, well-spoken and most of all charming. As a little boy when speaking about his day he would say, "Everybody likes me mom!" That was our Ben in a Nutshell. "Everybody likes me Mom!" Before you go to sleep, Say a little prayer Every day In every way, It's getting better and better, Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy.
