Arthur G. Brumaghim, Sr. 82 Systems Analyst for IBM Lakeland- Arthur G. Brumaghim, Sr. passed away due to heart failure on June 22, 2012 in Lakeland, Florida. He was born on June 11, 1930 to Asel and Mary Beach Brumaghim in Cheshire, CT. Arthur grew up in New Haven, CT, Endicott, NY and Niantic , CT. He attended the University of Connecticut and worked 38 years with the IBM Corporation, Poughkeepsie, NY where he rose to computer system analyst/manager. Living part year in Wappingers Falls, NY and Lakeland from 1989 and as a Lakeland resident from 2007, he was especially known for his unflagging dedication to family and for his constant wit. Arthur enjoyed boating, RVing, traveling, photography and golf. He was an avid reader. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy Varney Brumaghim, Lakeland, son, Arthur Brumaghim, Jr., of Caribou ME, daughter, Mary Brumaghim, Lanphear, Lakeland, sister, Isabel Brumaghim Terry of Maury, NC, brother, Stanley Brumaghim of Inverness, FL, two granddaughters and two great granddaughters. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Brumaghim of Petersborough, NH. A visitation is scheduled 5-7 pm, June 27, 2012 at Heath Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 am, June 28 at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 South Ingraham Avenue, Lakeland, FL.,with a reception to follow in the Tribute Center.
