Annie H Walker

Annie H Walker, age 90 a resident of Lakeland and lifelong resident of Polk county, passed away peacefully Friday, December 18, 2020. Annie was born July 19,1930 in Haines City, Florida to George W. and Martha O’ Neill. The O’ Neill’s came to Florida from Canada as farmers and beekeepers and would move the bees to Canada in the summer and return to Florida in the winter. Annie was the 8th of 11 children and assisted on the farm and with the bees and graduated from Haines City High School. She met her soon to be husband, WW2 veteran, William T. Walker Jr. when they were both working at the New Florida Hotel (now Lake Mirror Tower). Annie worked most of career at Florida National Bank (now Wells Fargo) in downtown Lakeland , starting as bookkeeper and retiring as an officer of the bank. She adored and was adored by family, and 3 years ago traveled to London and Scotland with 18 family members ranging in ages from 1 to 87! She is survived by siblings and (spouses) Helen Feagle, Patricia Adams, and Robert O’Neill (Elaine), and children, Shirley Littlechild and Carol Boyington (Steven), and grandchildren and Melissa Alfonso (Matt), Erin Provenzale (Mike), Brian Boyington (Dayanna) and great grandchildren Emma and Austin Alfonso, and Paige and Matthew Provenzale. Due to COVID-19, a family graveside gathering will be at 1 pm December 30, 2020 at Lakeland Memorial Gardens In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bonnet Springs Park https://bonnetspringspark.com
