LAKELAND – Anne Talman Tucker, 88, died at her home on Friday, May 26, 2017 surrounded by her family, due to cardiac failure. Anne was born January 29, 1929 in New York, NY the only child of Eleanor Croken Flanagan and Dr. Harold Stanton Flanagan. She moved to Lakeland in 1944. She graduated from Lakeland High School in 1946 and attended Florida Southern College where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and where she met the love of her life Thomas Reece Tucker, Jr. Anne was a loyal patron of the Polk Museum of Art where she served as president of the Board of Trustees; chairwoman of the Board of Governors; a founder of the Art Resource Trust; served on the Strategic Visioning Committee and chaired the Museum History Committee. In 2008, she was the ninth recipient of the Polk Museum of Art’s Harrison-Hooks Lifetime Achievement Award. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Anne was a real estate Broker who helped her beloved husband establish and manage the family’s real estate business. She loved traveling, reading, fishing around the world and catching tarpon in Boca Grande Pass. Most of all, she was committed to her faith and adored her family. Anne was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years Thomas Reece Tucker, Jr., her father Dr. Harold Stanton Flanagan, her mother Eleanor Flanagan Talman and her adoptive father Howard Parker Talman. She is survived by daughters Peggy Tucker McKeel, Catherine Tucker Dalton (Dave), Susan Tucker Dukes (Tom); grandsons Seth D. McKeel, Jr. (Kim) and Thomas E. Dukes, IV (Kate), granddaughters Maggie McKeel Mariucci (Rick), Annie McKeel Sullivan (Keith), Catherine Dalton Bedell (Stephen), Sarah Dalton Woodsby (Harris), Mary Cate Dukes, Margaret Dukes Lain (Nathan); great grandsons Seth D. McKeel, III, James Douglas Mariucci and James Harris Woodsby and by great granddaughters, Ellen Margaret Mariucci, Caroline Clark McKeel, Elizabeth Belle Woodsby, Stanton Anne Sullivan, Cody Clare Bedell and Madeline Rose Bedell. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 210 West Lemon Street in Lakeland at 10:00am Friday, June 2nd, 2017.
