Alice Garcia

Alice Elizabeth (Robinson) Garcia, 86, of Lakeland, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, August 30, 2024. She was a beloved Mother of 6, Grandmother of 12 and Great-Grandmother of 10. She was a resident of Lakeland for over 50 years. She retired from Lakeland Electric in 2001 where she was affectionately known as “Payroll Alice”. She was of the Catholic faith.

Alice was born December 9, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York to John Keegan and Mary Murphy Keegan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur Garcia, her twin sister Mary Iaia, her former husband John “Jack” Robinson, her infant son Richard Robinson, her brothers John Keegan and William Keegan, her sisters Barbara Hegarty and Helen Barrett, and her foster brothers Gene Mann and Jerry Mann.

She is survived by her sister Claire Hoffman; sons John “Chris” Robinson (Beverly) and Dale Robinson (Angela); daughters Linda Salata (Dan), Sherri Wall (Josh), and Alisa Robbins (Aaron). She is also survived by many grandchildren: Shaun Williams (Stacey), Carolyn Keim (Ben), Scott Robinson (Carly), Leslie Frederick (Grant), Alice Robinson (Shelby), Erin Wall (Max), Lee Wall (Jess), Kayla Newmyer (Brett), Kara Crockett (Matt), Jacob Crockett (Lexi), Carlie Robbins, and Sophie Robbins. She also was loved by many great-grandchildren: Karissa and Gavyn Williams; Teddy, Jane and Eleanor Keim; Owen and Cy Robinson; Millie Frederick; and Brody and Keegan Newmyer. She is also remembered and loved by extended family: Arthur Garcia (Yara), Megan Garcia, Eric Garcia (Belkys), Paige and Alexa Garcia, sisters-in-law Ann Curley and Joanne Mann, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A service in her honor will be held on September 4th at 11am at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave. Lakeland, FL.
