It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aaron David Jordan Burton, 32, beloved son, brother and uncle. He passed on September 18th 2024 after a sudden and unexpected illness. Aaron was born on September 9th, 1992 in London England, and he lived in Lakeland, FL at the time of his passing.
Aaron was a humble, kind, and compassionate man, known in his personal and professional life for his friendly nature. His affectionate spirit and genuine care for others shone brightly in every interaction.
At the time of his passing, Aaron was working for Kokolakis Contracting as an Assistant Superintendent while studying for his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. This came after his time in the Navy, where he served for three years before an honorable discharge.
Aaron cherished moments with his family and friends, and was loved by all, young and old. For him it wasn’t only about spending time with people, it was about spending QUALITY time. This personality trait made him an excellent gift giver (because he got to know people so well) and wonderful travel buddy (because he was always up for a unique adventure). Aaron was always fun to be around and brought smiles and laughter to every occasion.
Aaron leaves behind countless memories and a profound legacy in the hearts of his father, Michael Burton of Lakeland; mother, Brinette Burton of Lakeland; and sisters, Michaela & Arielle Burton of London, UK and Veronica Burton of Lakeland, FL; as well as in the hearts of his extended family and friends from across the globe.
Visitation (family only) will be on Thursday October 3rd, from 5pm to 7pm at Heath Funeral Chapel where they can see Aaron and say their final goodbyes. (*please note that this will be the only open casket visitation, there is no viewing on the day of the funeral)
The funeral service is at All Saints Episcopal Church at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Larry Reid Hensarling presiding. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Burial Park, followed by a reception back at All Saints Episcopal Church. May Aaron’s memory be a blessing and a comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
