Rebecca Ann Crumpler

Rebecca "Becky” Crumpler died peacefully at her home in Lakeland, Florida on July 4, 2018 at the age of 70. Becky is survived by her sons Matthew E. Kovach, of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and Andrew E. Kovach, of Pensacola, Florida, as well as 5 grandchildren. Becky was born on April 20, 1948 in Clinton, North Carolina to Annie Mae and LG (“Gip”) Crumpler. She graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1966 with a degree in marketing and advertising. Prior to the birth of her children, Becky worked as a marketing executive at Juice Bowl in Lakeland, FL. In her younger life, she was an accomplished athlete who competed in both running and basketball events. Her children remember her as a kind and fun-loving mother who encouraged them to enjoy life and to pursue their goals. No funeral is scheduled at this time. A remembrance service will be scheduled at a later date.
