LAKELAND- On Saturday morning, September 04, 2021, Gerard (Jerry) Conrad Walton passed away @ LRH from Covid/Pneumonia after battling for over 40 days in the hospital! He fought valiantly for his life. He wanted to be healed, to go home and to live. Well, he did go home. He has a new body now and he will live for an eternity! We know the Lord needed our precious Jerry to be in His army! He is a Rescuer Angel now. A Mighty Warrior Angel for the Lord. Gerard Conrad Walton was born on September 26, 1956, in West Palm Beach, FL. to Eugene and Helen Walton. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Helen Walton, siblings Bill and Jeffrey Walton. Jerry is survived by his wife of 28 years, Deborah (Debi) Hand McClamma Walton, his son, Kyle Walton, his daughter, Amy Walton Kocol, son-in-law, Joe Kocol, his step-sons, Matthew, Gabriel and Joshua McClamma, daughter-in-loves, Karolynn Karnehm and Tabitha Keyes, granddaughters, MaKaylee Walton Maj, her husband, Joe Maj, Alyssa Walton, Jamie Kocol, Diane Marie McClamma and granddaughter on the way, Lauren Leigh McClamma, granddaughter-in-love, Kylie, grandsons, J.J. Kocol and Miles Tobias McClamma, grandson-in-love, Caden, great grandson, Abel Maj, brother-in-laws who he loved as brothers, Ronald (Ronnie) Hand and James Brian Hand, his nephew who he loved as a son, Zack Hand and his girlfriend, Gabby, his niece who he loved as a daughter, Savannah Hand Smith, her husband, Micah Smith, great niece, Violet Marie Hand, great nephew, Micah Tyler Smith Jr. Survived by his remaining siblings: Pamela Edgemon, Eugene P. Walton, Jr. and his wife Kate, Sharon Walton, Dan Walton and his wife Judy, Robert Walton, Chris Walton, Fran Price and her husband Tom, and Matt Walton and his wife Karen. Jerry is also survived by forty-one other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jerry is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Jerry served in the United States Navy on nuclear submarines for almost 15 years. He was honorably discharged as an FT1 E-6. Jerry was a devoted and faithful husband, a knight in shining armor to his wife. He loved and cared for her, cooked for her, catered to her and treated her like a princess. He made her feel safe and secure. He loved the Lord more than her and her more than himself. Jerry was a very loving and caring father and "Daddy Jerry", "Uncle Jerry" to all the children he not only fathered but helped to raise. He always had the patience of Job, especially with the children and they all looked up to him, admired him, he was their "Rock" and was always there to help them or give them good advice or just listen to whatever they needed to talk about. Jerry was the strongest man we have ever known, and he was a very dedicated, hard worker, always a good supporter for his family. He specialized in Refrigeration/A/C repair and maintenance and was currently working for Gordon Food Service in Plant City, FL. He loved his job, the company, and his co-workers. Jerry was a humble man, a selfless man, an honorable man with great integrity, who was compassionate and loving. He had a great sense of humor. He loved the Lord and had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Jerry was a devoted blood donor and faithfully donated blood every month for many years. In this way he wanted to help others. He was loved by so many who are just devastated by this great loss to us all and he will be greatly missed! Services will be held @ Gapway Baptist Church, Lakeland, FL on Saturday September 18, 2021. Visitation is from 10a.m.-11a.m. and the Funeral will follow @ 11a.m. with Doves released after service/weather permitting. Burial will be @ Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, FL w/Taps, folding of the American Flag and 21 Gun Salute on Sunday, September 19, 2021 @ 1p.m. Condolences may be made to the family at www.heathfuneralchapel.com and or cards for the family may be sent to; Deborah Walton P.O.
