Alece Canady Pemberton

Alece Canady Pemberton, 89, passed away February 27, 2023, in Lakeland, Florida. Alece was born in Lakeland on February 21, 1934. She was a graduate of Lakeland High School.

Alece was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Pemberton, son, Gary Grimes, twin sister, Anece Barton, and brother, Michael Canady.

She is survived by brother, Edmund Canady, her son, Keith Grimes (Pam), her daughter Cheryl Schwartz (Jeff), and daughter Alisa Anderson (Ira); seven grandchildren (Jessica Hughes, Kerry Villeneuve, Alece Fogg, Summer Schwartz-Woeckner, Ian Anderson, Ava Anderson, and Asher Anderson; six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Monday, March 6, 2023, at 9am followed by a service at 10 am in the Chapel at First United Methodist Church in Lakeland, a brief reception to follow. Graveside Service at 12:00 pm at Oak Hill Burial Park.
